The Dune is actively involved with the local communities in the field of education and local capacity building.
These activities are carried out under an Indian trust Children of The World India in association with "Enfants du monde", France. CWI is supported by many individual donors and the French Red Cross. The Dune is partner of the catering workshop of the Vocational Training Institute based in Chennai. The Dune staff kitchen located back side of the Tennis court is managed completely by the school and 24 students are getting permanently trained within the hotel premises. The 7 acre Dune Farm is also managed by CWI. It is involved in a 3 years rehabilitation project for Tsunamy affected farmers. The farm act as a demonstration and training center
